As part of a strategic engagement with a global energy player, we are assembling a dedicated Business Unit composed of seasoned freelance consultants specialized in the Italian electricity sector.
Your Mission
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the client’s commercial strategy in the Italian energy market. You will play a key role in helping shape their approach to electricity supply, regulation compliance, and supplier negotiation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting deep-dive analyses of the Italian regulatory and competitive landscape in the electricity sector ;
Designing electricity supply tenders aligned with the client’s commercial strategy and regulatory constraints ;
Sourcing, qualifying, and negotiating with electricity suppliers operating in Italy, ensuring best-value procurement ;
Advising on regulatory risks and compliance with Italian and European Union energy regulations ;
Preparing and delivering high-quality strategic reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Your Profile
We are looking for freelance consultants with:
Minimum 4 years of experience in the energy/electricity sector, ideally in consulting, procurement, or strategy roles ;
Proven expertise in the Italian electricity market, including regulatory bodies, energy law, and market players ;
Strong understanding of energy sourcing, tendering, and negotiation processes ;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian ;
Analytical mindset, autonomy, and ability to work in fast-paced, multicultural environments ;
Based in Italy or with strong working experience in the Italian energy market.
Nice to Have
Experience working with multinational corporations or large energy utilities ;
Knowledge of European energy market regulation (ACER, EU directives, etc.) ;
Familiarity with digital tools for energy procurement or platforms (e.g., EEX, ENTSO-E tools).
